As the school Social Worker at St. Benedict the Moor School, it is an honor to embark upon my second year of serving this school community. I have a Master of Social Work degree in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. My career as a School Social Worker/Supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance spans over 35 years, including 7 years post Hurricane Katrina as a School Hearing Officer.
I view my role as School Social Worker to be an agent of change. My task is to support and be an instrument through which God grants me opportunities to help children and families along with the educational system, form more cohesive and understanding relationships. My goal is to ultimately address the needs of children and to assist them in navigating pathways that will enable them to engage in positive life-long learning experiences and service.
