Being a service learning school, St. Benedict the Moor believes in helping the community. This year's Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Pop Tab Drive to benefit The Ronald McDonald House of New Orleans was a raging success.

St. Benedict the Moor students collected 1,335 items non-perishable food items! All of these will be dropped off at Second Harvest Food Bank to benefit those in need in the New Orleans area.

St. Benedict the Moor students also collected over 27,000 pop tabs! These will be dropped off at The Ronald McDonald House of New Orleans for them to be recycled. The money earned will go to help the families who are currently staying at the RMH.
